5/4/26 - 5/8/26 Teacher Appreciation Week Soup and Bread Potluck

Thank you Grout Teachers!

Please be on the lookout for donations to be bring this week. 

Thank you Grout Community for all your support and donations this school year. 

The week of May 4-8 is National Teacher Appreciation week. On Tuesday May 5th, we are asking volunteers to bring a crock pot full of soup, a loaf of bread or another type of yummy side so that our teachers can enjoy a hearty lunch. Sign ups are on Konstella.

Bread and crock pots can be dropped off anytime before 10 am in room 105. You can claim your crock pot after 4:30 that day, or the following morning. Please make sure to bring a list of ingredients and note when you sign up on what soup you are bringing and if it is vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, etc.

5/6/26 Bike and Roll to School Day

After walking or rolling to school stop by the Walk and Roll table to receive goodies and high fives for participating Grout students. 

5/16 & 5/17 Community Mural Painting Days

Grout playground from 10am-2pm. Everyone is welcome to come meet Daren (our artist), see the mural and to pick-up a paintbrush!

5/28/26 Popcorn Party at 5pm @ Grout basketball courts

General PTA Meeting at 6pm in the Grout cafeteria 

Come attend this fun family event at Grout!! This year the PTA will be providing popcorn and toppings! Interested in having a table at this event or know a community organization/group that would like one? Email groutpta@gmail.com for more information. At this meeting Grout PTA members vote for next year's PTA budget and board officers.

Portland City United Soccer Club – Tryouts & Programs for All Levels

Registration is now open for Portland City United Soccer (PCU) tryouts for the 2026/27 season! 

We offer soccer programs for students of all ages and skill levels, from our youngest beginners to competitive high school athletes. Our development pathway includes fun, introductory programs and camps for K-1st Grade players, foundational training for 2nd-4th graders and competitive team opportunities for 5-12th graders, including ECNL Regional League play.

Key Dates:

• Tryouts: May 4th – May 14th, 2026

• Season runs: May 2026 – April 2027
